Everyday Ornaments

Christmas is over, but the sales are on! I got these porcelain ornaments from Michaels for like 70% off. They came white, so I painted them with my trusty acrylic paint.

FRAME

I found these laser cut wooden frames at Michaels and thought they would make fun pieces to spruce up the place. I just painted them with a little acrylic paint and they are good to go.

Paint

I have a lot of acrylic paint that I use for various crafts. I think I got all of my Martha Stewart paint on sale for like 80 cents each, which is a pretty steal deal. I decided to organize my collection in this Korean Red Ginseng box that my mom gave me. For me I think it is really important to keep a lookout on things you have lying around the house instead of buying useless things. The box is pretty sturdy and it came with sections so my paints fit perfectly!

A World of LOVE

I have always had a fascination with world maps. Maybe its because I want to travel... Anyways, my dad bought a table at IKEA and I saw this beautiful piece of cardboard as inspiration. As a result, I made a map of hearts!

I am not the best drawer, so excuse the inaccuracy of the continents. I did it free hand by looking at a random map on the internet.

My inspiration came from...

Obviously it is not as cool, but I tried :)

North and South America

Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia

Now the WHOLE WORLD

I painted each heart individually, outlined it with a thin paint brush, and covered everything with gold GLITTER!

Soap Dish = Jewelry Holder

Have a soap dish that has no use. Whether it be a gift from a friend or you have switched over to the liquid stuff. Use it as a jewelry holder!

Pencil Holder out of... Cereal Box?

Tried of mismanaged pens and messy drawers?

Try recycling a cereal box. Cut box in the middle and toss the top open flappy side in the trash. Take the bottom and cover it with your paper of choice.

Folder Organizer

With only pretty paper, cereal box, and a sharp box cutter; this creation can be yours!

Essentially, I cut a triangular like shape out of the cereal box to get the basic shape and then covered it with paper. VERY simple. =)
